Who is responsible for your data?

The BEA acts as a "custodian" of the personal information you provide to us. It collects and processes personal data within the meaning of the GDPR and the BDSG. If you have any questions about how we handle the data, please contact us at datenschutz(at)business-english-academy.de

Which data do we save?

For teacher applications, we ask for the following information:

- Personal data: name, address, date of birth, nationality, gender, education and work history.

- When a CV is sent to us, we would like to keep your details in our database. The information is saved as data from previous courses.

For company inquiries, we ask for the following information:

- Personal data: contact name, company name, company email, company telephone number, company address, 

- The information is saved as data from previous courses.

Why do we need your data?

For teachers, your data is required for course placement with our customers and for placing orders.

We only store and process personal data that serve these purposes and only for the purposes mentioned above. The legal basis for the collection and processing of data is Art. 6 Para. 1 (a) GDPR, insofar as express consent has been given, otherwise Art. 6 Para. 1 (b) and (f) GDPR.

 
The collection and processing of the data is necessary for the conclusion of the contract, since we can only properly process the employment relationship if we have the necessary data.

What do we do with data?

All personal information is processed by our employees in Germany. Some of our employees also handle these processes outside of Germany, but always within the European Union, so that it is ensured that your data is processed with the highest possible level of protection. Our data is stored on servers within the EU for IT hosting and administration. We do not grant third parties access to your data unless it is legally required.

What rights do you have?

You have the right to be informed by the person responsible about your personal data collected, as well as to correction or deletion or to restriction of the processing of personal data. - If you have given your consent to the processing of data, you have the right to revoke this consent at any time - even partially.

We collect and use your personal data exclusively within the framework of the provisions of the data protection law of the Federal Republic of Germany. In the following we inform you about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data. You can retrieve this information on our website at any time.


Data transmission and logging for internal system and statistical purposes

For technical reasons, your Internet browser automatically transmits data to our web server when you access our website. This includes, among other things, the date and time of access, URL of the referring website, retrieved file, amount of data sent, browser type and version, operating system and your IP address. This data is stored separately from other data that you enter when using our offer. It is not possible for us to assign this data to a specific person. This data is evaluated for statistical purposes and then deleted.

Inventory data

If a contractual relationship is to be established between you and us, the content of which is to be designed or changed, we collect and use personal data from you to the extent necessary for these purposes.
By order of the competent authorities, we may provide information about this data (inventory data) in individual cases, insofar as this is necessary for the purposes of criminal prosecution, to avert danger, to fulfill the statutory tasks of the constitutional protection authorities or the military counter-intelligence service or to enforce intellectual property rights.


Data Usage

We collect and use personal data from you insofar as this is necessary to enable or bill the use of our website (usage data). This includes in particular features for your identification and information at the beginning and end as well as the scope of the use of our offer.
For the purposes of advertising, market research and the needs-based design of our website, we may create user profiles when using pseudonyms. You have the right to object to this use of your data. We are not allowed to merge the usage profiles with data about the bearer of the pseudonym.
