Present Perfect: Lesson 1

• How to form the Present Perfect?

Present Perfect --> have/has + past participle*

*Note: An exercise regarding irregular verbs and past participls will follow soon.

• When do you use the Present Perfect?

The Present Perfect is used for an action in the past with a result now.

Examples

They have bought a new car. (= They have a new car now)

I have lost my wallet. (= I can’t find my wallet now)

Laura has gone to bed. (= Laura is in bed now)

Complete the sentences below by using the Present Perfect. Use the verbs from the following list.
